Dukan diet phase 1

After reading a magazine, i decided to lose my excess baby pounds by going on the Dukan Diet. The Dukan diet was founded by a doctor called Pierre Dukan in France and is based on high protein and very low carb. there are four phases to the diet these are the attack phase, the cruise phase, the consolidation phase and then the stabilisation phase


I signed up at  http://www.dukandiet.co.uk to find out my 'True weight' (i think it much more money savvy to buy the books and not sign up online) Dukans website will then ask you 11 questions to find out 'your true weight' and also how long you will be doing the different phases for. The website recommends i do the 'attack phase' for 2 days and the 'cruise phase' until i'm at 'my true weight' which he reckons will be around November time. 





As I've said part 1 of the diet is called the 'attack phase'. During the attack phase you have to stick to this list of allowed foods, you can eat as much of these as you please.:

There are other things like herbs, spices, dressings and onions you can add to spice up these foods. You can also eat eggs but only one yolk per day, fat free yoghurt and 1.5 tsp of oat Bran per day.You also must do 20 mins of brisk walking per day and drink 1.5 litres of water per day.


My two days on the the attack phase ended yesterday, I lost 1.5 pounds in two days and today I started the cruise phase, which i will talk about in another post. I must admit im quite partial to buying the recipe book on my kindle as i've read some of the meals are quite good. You can buy both books (the diet book and the recipe book) quite cheaply on Amazon.
